I began painting as a big expression of the little joys everywhere in life, all around us, despite our sorrows or troubles: in the blades of grass lying beneath the blanket of snow, the joyful dance of blossoms outside our windows, the luscious yellow, green and blue glints in the fading sunlight; the emotional journeys and soulful expressions in simple everyday moments, in dreams of adventures and play.  I use paint as an abstract extension of this world; navigating our experiences, so that we may see ‘feelingly.’
